Post Christmas 2015

The kids had two full weeks off of school this year which was awesome.  They spent some time with each of their grandmas and cousins, we loafed around the house and played with all of the new Christmas stuff, skied, sledded, and had a big New Year's party here.  It was lots of fun and hard for all of us to get back into our regular routine!  That's a wrap 2015.

Christmas 2015

This year Jer took Luke and Seth skiing a half day on Christmas Eve.  Ian missed them all day, but we had fun making preparations and playing games.  The grandparents came over for dinner, a program of piano, poems, and games, and the reading of the nativity and we had a great time.  Christmas morning was our traditional breakfast followed by a trip to Preston to spend the day with cousins.  The biggest surprise this year was Luke's ipod.  His was old and really out of date, but we assured him he would not be getting a new one.  I don't love electronics, and I feel like it's a constant battle regulating them, but we decided to surprise him.  (We also assured him this is the last ipod our money will ever buy for him. :))  He was shocked and that was pretty fun.  Santa stopped here!

Pre Christmas December 2015

This year we celebrated our 2nd anniversary of being in this house which happens to be on the same day as the 8th anniversary of our temple sealing with Seth.  That's pretty crazy to me!  December is so fun.  I love all of the holiday festivities, and the spirit and excitement of the season.  We started the season off with a trip to find a Christmas tree.  Actually choosing a Christmas tree is always a struggle, but the sledding and adventure combined with a bucket 'o bagels and a trip to Big J's is always fun.  Ian's also showing off his first lost tooth.  We didn't even know it was loose and all of a sudden it was gone with a big tooth right behind it.

We took our annual trip to Salt Lake to see the lights, do some shopping, swim, and eat some brunch!

We went to see Juanito Bandito at the Eccles Theater.  Everyone loved it.  Leah would have no part in a photo though.

School class Christmas parties.  Leah always lucks out and gets to come be my sidekick.

Leah's dance show off day.  Despite her look she actually danced so cute.  The one in the fall she refused to participate in, so that was a step in the right direction!  Luke and Seth have a new piano teacher this year, and they both rocked their Christmas recital.  Despite lots of complaining (and I mean lots) they are both getting better and despite the fact that it's often torture (for all of us) for them to practice we are sticking with it!

We had the Workmans over to make some gingerbread houses.  For some reason Ian is never pictured.

Jer and I escaped for a half day morning of powder followed by feverish wrapping of presents.  Great wintery day!
