Two of his games were in absolute downpours. I managed to take a couple pics at this one before it got too wet. By the end all of the kids were drenched and freezing, but they seemed to have fun in the wet weather games.
As you can see Seth was pretty stoked about being a spectator in the rain.
This was at their only Friday night game. Luke's team started this game with three players. Both teams enjoyed the nice weather and struggled with focus.
Whose kid is that anyway?
Luke's last game was Saturday. Finally the weather was great, and I took a lot of pics. My photo class this week was about shutter speed, so I had the chance to take some action shots. He played awesome and ended the season on a great note with three goals.
Yes, I actually got a shot of him scoring a goal. I wish I could have got his face. I'm sure he had his tongue out in concentration. The other team was on the field somewhere. They don't have goalies at this age.
This one demonstrates Luke's size challenge--good thing that doesn't matter too much in soccer. Believe it or not, the little girl in the picture is in Luke's kindergarten class.
Luke is so fast when he tries to be. He usually just kind of gallops alongside the people with him, but when he decides to go he's got speed.
Go team! They were a cute little team...usually short on both players and focus, but they had fun. At almost every game there was a point where both teams were huddled around the ball kicking each other in the shins. Those shin guards are a necessity.
They were missing two of their players for the final game...including one who was supposed to bring the treats. Come on people--treats are critical at this age! They were all really tired when it was over. Some of them never subbed out. Their coach is a friend and neighbor and all the kids live by us, so it was a great group of parents. Good times.

He was a totally different player this year! Way to go Luke!! Sorry about the whole taunting thing. I still feel bad! Luke should have decked him...and taught Carter a lesson! :) We've had several chats about that since!
Soccer is so fun! Way to go Luke!! I love the photo of Sethers!
