Parades Check

I'm not a big fan of a parade. I'm a party pooper I guess but around here it's usually hot and there's not a whole lot to see. My kids love it though, mostly for the candy, so we've hit a few. We spent the afternoon of the 24th of July with my family and went to the parade in Logan, and of course we went to that Famous Preston Night Rodeo and the parade before. It's tradition, and the kids had a blast. It was so fun to see Leah's excitement this year. She waved at everyone, clapped, danced...loved it!

Seeing Leah in her patriotic clothes was pretty meaningful considering a few months ago she lived in a Communist country and now she's a U.S. citizen with all the rights and privileges that go along with living in this amazing country!

She loves her grandmas and grandpas.  Grandpa (bampa) is one of the cutest words she can say right now.

Leah was truly a crowd pleaser at the parade and rodeo.  Everyone stopped to smile and wave at her...she's just so darn cute.  I know this picture is out of focus and her eyes are closed but look at those cheeks!

Those are one of Leah's new pairs of sandals.  They squeak (which we've had to remove at times), but she loves them!

Cute kids and a fun evening.  We didn't get out of the rodeo until almost 11:30, but the kids did great.  They are still talking about the rodeo burgers and some of the funny skits the clown did.  There's a lot to be said for small town traditions.  I'm glad we get to be a part of it.
